Doing well in the following aspects will be more conducive to summer health care and help us spend the summer healthily.
1. Prevent damp heat:
The climate in summer is hot and rainy, which determines the characteristics of the hot and humid climate in summer. Summer is hot and humid, and the human body is prone to symptoms such as fatigue, fatigue, depression, chest tightness, and poor appetite.
To prevent dampness and heat, the diet is appropriate and light, and you can eat more food that clears heat and removes dampness, such as mung bean porridge, lotus leaf porridge, red bean porridge, etc., or cook soup with wax gourd, lotus leaf, and barley. Also, open more windows for ventilation.
2. Reasonable fitness:
Many people think that in summer, people sweat a lot, and they sweat a lot when exercising. The loss of water and inorganic salts is not good for health, so they are too lazy to exercise.
In fact, a moderate amount of exercise is still needed in summer, especially in modern people who stay in air-conditioned rooms for a long time, lack a certain amount of exercise, and sweat relatively little.
However, it should be noted that exercise should also be reasonable, at least not to exercise under the intense sunlight, and to replenish water in time when exercising. The timing of exercise is also 1 hour after meals. Don't be too violent. You can choose to exercise such as walking, jogging, and swimming.
3. Sleep:
Relatively speaking, in summer, the days are long and the nights are short. Therefore, many people go to bed late and get up late, and their biological clocks are gradually disrupted.
There is a cloud in the Internal Classic, "Yang enters yin and sleeps soundly." Conversely, only by ensuring adequate sleep can the coordination of the functions of various zang-fu organs be maintained.
In summer, sleep should conform to the yin and yang laws of nature. Go to bed early and get up early, and use your lunch break to make up for lack of sleep. Adults should try to get 7 hours of sleep every day as much as possible.
4. Yang Yang:
As the saying goes, "Insufficient yang qi will prevent dampness and evil." In summer, most of the supplements do not need to be deliberately supplemented. Besides, too much supplementation is easy to get angry, and most physical problems can be prevented by maintaining yang qi and eliminating dampness.
Summer is the most yang season of the year. At this time, nourishing the yang properly will have a multiplier effect, and the strong moisture from the outside will not easily invade the body.
Controlling cold drinks: People like to drink cold drinks and eat frozen food in summer, which can easily damage the spleen and stomach and consume yang. Therefore, it is necessary to eat less cold drinks and fruits; use more warm water to add water, follow the principle of clearing and tonic, and eat foods such as red dates, wolfberries, and angelica.
Appropriate exercise: In summer, the outside world is most prosperous. Exercise outdoors as much as possible, which can activate the body's blood, regulate the function of the viscera, and maintain the yang, but do not exercise excessively.
Keeping warm and sheltering from the cold: Modern people stay in air-conditioned rooms all day long in the hot summer, euphemistically called enjoyment. In fact, the temperature of the air conditioner is too low, which makes it easy for the evil yin to perpetuate in the body.
Massage Yongquan: Chinese medicine believes that the foot is the root of all yang, and the essence is born from the sole of the foot. Jing is the energy of the human body. The Yongquan acupoint on the sole of the foot belongs to the Kidney Meridian of Foot Shaoyin. The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic says: “The kidney originates from the Yongquan, and the spring is the heart of the foot.” That is to say, the Qi of the Kidney Meridian comes from the Yongquan acupoint under the foot. , originates from here to irrigate the whole body. Therefore, when you have free time in summer, you can massage the Yongquan acupoint properly.
5. Diet:
In summer, the diet should not be too full, seven or eight minutes full, but pay attention to the comprehensive and balanced combination of various nutrients. Fresh vegetables are the best food to avoid pollution, and raw fruits and vegetables should be washed and peeled. To drink more water, increase the intake of trace elements and vitamins.
6. Adjust the spirit of shooting:
"To keep the ambition free from anger, to make Huaying become beautiful, to let the anger out, if the love is outside, this is the way to grow the summer qi."
In other words, it tells us that in summer, we must be refreshed, happy, and broad-minded in order to be full of energy. All slack and tiredness, anger and depression will hinder the qi and normal, and will damage the yang.
7. Living and recuperating:
In the Nei Jing, it is said that "sweating hurts the yang". It is hot in summer. To avoid a lot of sweating, you will experience dizziness, chest tightness, palpitations, thirst, nausea and coma.
In short, in daily life, it must be reasonable and regular, scientific and balanced, so that the restless yang can be fully cultivated, and the body can be closer to the healthy state of yin and yang.
